Riding Rules

Safety is our #1 priority – these rules are to protect our riders.

  1. The road is not closed to traffic. Cyclists must ride with traffic, on the right hand side of the road. Cyclists are required to follow the “Rules of the Road”.  For vehicle safety, please ride on the shoulder where a full lane shoulder is available. If portions of the highway do not have full shoulders, please ride close to the shoulder, and consider riding single file where vehicles will have poor visibility (ie: uphill, sharp corners, etc).
  2. There will be three wave starts, the 50km route, 100km route and 150km route. Please start in the group you registered for.
  3. All cyclists require a helmet.
  4. Eyewear, gloves, and refillable water bottles located on the bike are highly encouraged. Riders should have two spare tire tubes in the correct size for their bike, a portable bike pump, and the ability to change to change tires themselves, although we will provide minor repair assistance where possible.
  5. Cut-Off Times for Finish Lines: You will be transported to the finish line if you don’t make the cut off times. Cut-off times to be announced shortly.
  6. For the safety of all riders, private support vehicles are not allowed on the course.
  7. Entry fees are not refundable.
